How it works

Built around Faraday's law. Engineered for the field.

An electromagnetic flow meter generates a magnetic field across a non-magnetic pipe section. As conductive fluid passes through, it induces a voltage proportional to flow velocity — picked up by a pair of electrodes flush with the pipe wall. No obstruction in the flow path, no moving parts, no pressure drop.

Each AEFM-100 is wet-flow calibrated against traceable national standards before dispatch. The full-bore design tolerates abrasive slurries, aggressive chemicals, and CIP cleaning cycles. PTFE, PFA and rubber liner options cover virtually every process condition you'll encounter — from raw effluent to high-purity WFI.

Application Engineering

Built for water, effluent & process lines.

Why the technology fits — engineering reasons, not marketing ones. All facts below are from the AEFM-100 datasheet.

Sewage, STP & ETP lines

The full-bore design has no obstruction to foul or clog, so raw sewage, industrial and domestic effluent pass with zero pressure drop. PTFE or rubber lining is standard, and electrode options from SS316L to Hastelloy C, Titanium, Tantalum and Platinum resist aggressive effluent chemistry — including acidic, alkaline and salt-laden streams such as brine and sea water, with the appropriate lining.

Industrial & process water

Bidirectional measurement across 0.2–12 m/s, empty-pipe detection, automatic zero and low-flow cutoff make the meter dependable for plant water balance — cooling circuits, heat exchangers, and supply headers where a false reading from a part-filled pipe is not acceptable.

Borewell & raw-water lines

Measures any conductive water from ≥10 µS/cm — borewell, raw and potable supplies — with DN15 to DN500 covering delivery lines end to end. Electromagnetic meters need a conductive medium: for DM or RO water, use the clamp-on AUFM-100 ultrasonic flow meter instead.

Sizing
